  • Apology over erroneous baby-formula test results (2012-07-10)
  • Central Chinas Hunan province has apologised for erroneous reports claiming formula sold by Mead Johnson Nutrition contained a banned flavour additive, the maker of the worlds best-selling Enfamil baby formula said. Mead Johnson shares fell to their lowest since February after publications including Caijing magazine and 21st Century Business Herald reported that tests showed its formulas, along with those made by Abbott Laboratories and Pfizers Wyeth unit, contained vanillin. Hunan Agricultural Universitys Food Science Technology Institute, which ran the tests, said it was mistaken for claiming it found vanillin in the three US-based formula makers products, the Xiaoxiang Morning Herald reported.    Photo by Imaginechina
