Story

  • 53-year-old Chinese man swims across Yangtze River to work (2019-04-12)
  • Most days at 6 a.m., 53-year-old Zhu Biwu, known locally as River Crossing Brother, swims across the Yangtze River to get to work in the city of Wuhan in central China's Hubei Province. It takes Zhu about half an hour to swim the two kilometers to work. Since 2008, this aquatic commute has helped him lose weight and rid himself of diabetes. It's also earned him a job as a lifeguard at the Wuhan Sports Center.    Photo by Imaginechina
