  • Escapologist challenges coaster crash in south China (2012-09-26)
  • Canadian escapologist Dean Gunnarson escaped the crash from the car of a roller coaster on Wednesday (26 September 2012) in Shenzhen, south Chinas Guangdong province. He was bound with 6 steel chains on the track of the Bullet Coaster, a hot attraction in the Happy Valley. The car was first inflated for 36 seconds after the challenge began. Then it was projected and was accelerated to the maxium speed of 135kmh. It was estimated to reach Dean Gunnarson in 20 seconds but the Canadian took only 50 seconds to release him from chains and escaped the crash successfully. Dean Gunnarson stages the thrilling excape show to promote the upcoming Happy Valley International Magic Festival to be held from September 30 to October 7 to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day holiday.    Photo by Imaginechina
